So, my dear friend and college roommate, Valarie, was able to visit Colorado with her husband and daughter Carly this past week. Her husband, Tim, had to do some work training here, so she got to come along! It was SO good to reconnect. She is the type of friend that we can pick up right where we left off with no problem- a true kindred spirit! Dealing with 5 kids while trying to chat proved a little challenging, but we got some good conversations in amidst a screaming Elijah (who hates the car seat) and 4 rambunctious toddlers/preschoolers! every day was packed full with activities (you know me)- we visited Idaho Springs and all the cute little shops, went shopping at Colorado Mills, spent the morning swimming at the Apex Center and ate a bunch of meals together! I am so thankful for those rare opportunities where get to see each other and hope that the next one isn’t too far away!
