Not Ready for Daughters

So, I thought I was pretty much ready to be the father of girls.  Then something happened.  The girls had their preschool Christmas program.  They attend preschool 3 days a week for half a day.  I work at the school, so I get to check up on them and see them and I’ve never really seen them interact with boys beyond having to hold hands in line.

So we’re at the reception after the preschool program and I was standing at a table with Arianna.  A woman came up to me with her grandson, Jimmy, who is in my daughters’ class.  She told me, “Jimmy wanted me to come and meet Sophia.”

So now I want to know who is this Jimmy kid and why is he so interested in my Sophia.  I’m just not ready for this aspect of fatherhood.

  1. thats not so bad Mark. Clayton already proposed to a girl and asked her father’s permission for marriage! Just wait–it gets even better! And PMS starts early too!
